Infant Schultz Twin Dies at Two Months old
Harold Edwin Schultz, one of twins born to Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Schultz, died Sunday after a brief illness at two months and 23 days. Funeral services were conducted Monday by Rev. P. A. Davies at the Presbyterian church. He weighed seven pounds at birth and was not as robust as his sister.

Chicken thief gets five years at Fort Madison
Bert Fisher of this city received a five year sentence at Fort Madison for stealing chickens. He and his sons, Asrold and Glen Dana, both 18, admitted taking a batch of poultry from RE. E. Duckett farm on February 4. The youths received four months and a suspended term for Fisher was imposed for good behavior, with Dana fined $50. Sheriff P. M. Brown Jett will accompany Fisher to Fort Madison to begin serving.

Spencer won the Lakes Conference declamatory contest held Friday evening. Estherville led with five points with Cyrus Laveride taking first in the oratorical class. Spirit Lake and Emmetsburg tied for third with four points, Storm Lake ranked fourth with three, and Sibley held fifth with one. Albert Anderson of the city finished fourth in the dramatic class.
