Evolution U K Theistic Says Rev Chipperfield
The third article by ministers on evolution appears in this issue. Rev R T Chipperfield, Methodist Episcopal pastor, explains evolution as a theory about how things became focusing on the how rather than the why. He notes science advances but remains unfinished and cites the Scopes case as a spark for interest. He distinguishes atheistic from theistic evolutionists and affirms that the Bible is not a scientific text but guides life and character. He reflects on God’s ordinary way of answering prayers through natural processes and emphasizes the Bible’s compatibility with theistic evolution.
