Robert P. Martyn pastor of M H E Church in Milner Ga recommends Dr Tichenor’s Anti septic for stomach and bowel troubles as well as cuts and burns based on family use. This endorsement appears in a dated Sept 15 1898 document.
Notices report the passing of Mrs E J Kelley at age 73 on September 5 1899 in Douglas Go attended by her four generation family and described as trusting in Christ. Also noted are the deaths of W Hudgins a respected Dooly county citizen near the city and Mrs Bill Kirk Joiner near Mingo Go along with the infant of Mrs Fryers buried at Friendship and a child loss at Mr Pilkerton’s household.
A Macon based effort by Rev W E Mumford opens Georgia Industrial Home for destitute white children aged 6 to 16. chartered January 1809, started February 22 with three kids, now 52 inmates from 20 counties. funded by voluntary gifts, undenominational, aims to rehabilitate inmates for life, not merely shelter.
A group of local youths formed The Students Circle at Judge J H Woodward's residence last Friday evening. Officers include Miss Lida Rushin as President and Prof A S Roland as Vice President with Miss Irma Swearingen as Secretary and Prof T T Martin as Treasurer.
