Notice of Administrator sale in Dooly County Georgia for lands of Sallie Patrick deceased Middleton Patrick will be sold at public outcry at courthouse door on first Tuesday in November 1901. Lands include all of lot 128 and mapped portion of lot 124 in 9th district. Terms cash. George W Barrow administrator.
Multiple probate notices from Dooly County Georgia describe sales of real estate belonging to estates. Properties include undivided halves in Cordele house lot No7, block 163, 90 acres in lot 16, 11th district, 2023 acres in lot 19, 11th district, and lot 33 in the 14th district. Also Hoyt Rushin estate lot 26 in 6th district and other parcels under various administrators. Sales by cash at public outcry in Vienna and surrounding counties, with dates set for the first Tuesday in November 1901.
The estate of KW Thompson will sell at public auction at the courthouse door in Vienna on the first Tuesday in November 1901 between legal hours for cash. About 150 acres in land lot No. 11 in the 2nd district Dealy county, Ga, and Cordola city lot No in block 167, taxed to unknown owner, to satisfy tax execution by F J Lewis TD for 1900 taxes. The notes totaling 188.15 dollars plus interest and costs, secured by the mortgage dated June 7, 1901, defaulted by B M Sellers, will be sold by J P Heard & Sons of Vienna Georgia.
Waycross Air Line Railroad Company petitions Georgia Secretary of State to amend its charter name to Atlantic and Birmingham Railroad Company. It seeks capital expansion to seven million eighty thousand dollars and extensions from Cordele to Birmingham Alabama and from Merriwether Warm Springs through Coweta Fayette Campbell Fulton to Atlanta, with a fifty year term and renewal, under general railroad law. The filing is signed by W B Albertson secretary and W Wadley vice president and GM, Waycross GA October 17 1901.
Schedule in effect August 4th, 1901 shows Dixie Mlyer with through coach and Pullman sleeper between Macon and Jacksonville via Valdosta and through coach and local sleeper between Macon and Palatka. Local sleeper departs Macon Union Depot at 2 80 p m and stays until 7 00 a m. Quick Step runs as a solid train between Macon and Palatka. We the colored people of Dooly county form a high school effort meeting at C. M. E. church in Vienna Georgia. Prof. T J Hill elected president P H Lewis secretary Lillie Lilly vice president and Lana D Herris corresponding secretary. First Saturday meetings at 10 am urged for community support.
