Cordele Dispensary Meeting Opposes Liquor Plan

At a large Cordele city council chamber meeting on Wednesday the crowd of about 85 citizens including ministers heard Judge J B Scott and Col R Fields. Resolutions urged opposition to a dispensary and stricter enforcement of prohibitory laws while requesting revocation of a license to sell wine. The audience applauded calls to publicize the resolutions and support a boys school without liquor.

Basket Dinner at Harmony Baptist Church

Harmony Baptist Church in Dooly County invites members and friends to a service on the Saturday before the first Sunday in December 1901. The event includes two sermons and a good dinner on the grounds. Attendees are asked to bring a basket and a friend.
