The First Annual Epworth League Conference of the South Macon district gathered in the city from October 15 to 17. Delegates and visitors filled the Methodist church as Rev. Wesley Lane led devotions and Col. W. W. Harvard welcomed the group. Speakers from Macon Perry Hawkinsville and Montezuma discussed devotionals leadership and spirituality with a closing note that the next session will be held in Perry.
