The Vienna lodge mourns John H Morgan known as Dock Morgan who died at his home near Vienna on Sept 98 after a short illness. Born 1861 in Jefferson County Georgia he moved to Dooly County in 1872 and lived in the community. He was a devoted Mason, prudent businessman, and trusted family man whose death prompts a formal resolution praising his virtues and offering sympathy to his widow and orphans. The lodge votes to drape its colors, send a copy to the family, and publish the resolutions in the Vienna Progress and News.
