Allen Pardoned today by Governor Candler and to be released from Richwood penitentiary after six years. He killed a man in Dawson, Georgia named Slade and was a prominent carriage manufacturer there. Attorney A My Rainey secured the pardon. Rainey left for Richwood with papers for release. Allen will return to Dawson briefly then move to Cincinnati for a new carriage factory job.

Mrs Emma H Woodward wife of John H Woodward born Honaton GI Reb 1849 died of typhoid in Dooly County August 21 1901. She was married December 15 1896 and is survived by siblings D L F Peacok Mrs R I Barfield and Miss Ellen Peacock of Emerick and Mrs C Hendrick of Henderson. She was a devoted wife mother and Christian and died surrounded by loved ones with faith in heaven.
