Maps of Western and Atlantic rail road completed
The New Survey of the Grato a Rail road is finished. The new maps of the Western and Atlantic railroad, made by order of the general assembly, have been completed and are now being checked by Special Attorney Wimbish. In a few days they will be ready for inspection by the joint committee of the house and senate. When approved they will be filed in state archives as evidence of the boundary line of the road. The maps constitute the only complete record of the right of way and will be valuable if encroachments occur. The act provides that the maps leave the effect of a deed record and fixes the boundary line. Governor authorized to remove encroachments. There are fifty maps covering every foot of the property.
