May 17 features gold medal contests in elocution oratory and music under Kathleen Shea. May 27 operetta and grade exercises. May 28 address by Hon John T Boifenilett of Macon and graduates’ exercises.

Ashburn Hangs First in Turner County
Robert Henderson alias Will Ford, a colored man, was hanged in Turner county jail Ashburn Ga for the March 5 murder of G W May. He spoke from the scaffold warning others against bad company and said he could meet God in peace. The trap was sprung at 12 58 and he died in twelve minutes, to be interred in De Soto Ga. Sheriff Cason praised for carrying out the execution.
