Box Car Fire Destroys Cotton Hulls at Byromville
A box car loaded with cotton hulls was burned on the side track near the J.S. Byrom & Sons warehouse Saturday night about 10:30. Other cars were moved to prevent spread. The blaze is suspected incendiary. the nearby depot also burned recently.

Major H M Kaigler Dies at Oglethorpe
Major H M Kaigler aged 79 and Macon county school commissioner died at his Oglethorpe, Georgia home after weeks of illness. A Confederate veteran, he left Macon for Clethorpe after word of his condition. Survived by daughters Mrs Julian Nelson of Macon and Mrs Jerrold of Tampa and son James Kaigler, he was a prominent local figure.
