Reidsville Store Burns Night of Wednesday Fire Destroys Merchants
A large brick building owned by Judge E C Collins housing DeLoach and Cheney burned Wednesday night in Reidsville. Fire began in the undertaker department on the second floor with coffins and furniture, spreading to the upper floor. Total loss estimated at 10 000 for the building and 8 000 for stock, insured for about one third.

Fred Mathews Buried After Center Church Feud Fatalities
Fred Mathews was buried Saturday afternoon at Center church cemetery after dying Friday night from wounds in a feud battle near Center church on June 6. The death toll includes his father Cicero Mathews and William Galbreath, the other two victims. Mathews, a married man with three children, is survived by his wife and relatives. Tom Tippett, wounded in the same clash, shows improvement at Vidalia Hospital and may be moved soon.

Cotton Bolls Exhibited By Local Farmer Near Mc Gregor
Mr. D. E. Morris, a young farmer near Mc Gregor, reported three full grown cotton bolls collected Wednesday morning at the Advance office. Mad Dog Bites Ten Children in Wheeler County
A hound belonging to Ratti Rainey attacked in Avant's Siding last week, biting four children of W. F. McVey, one of Mrs. A. T. Rheynes, and five of Earl Rainey. The dog was deemed hydrophobia after its head was sent to Atlanta, and serum was dispatched for the children's treatment. A mule, hog, and cat were also bitten. the hog and cat were killed.
