Savannah Lad Killed Jumping on Truck at Longpond
Robert Hugh Salter aged 12 visiting McAllister family at Longpond was run over by a truck Wednesday afternoon. He attempted to jump on the running board, slipped, and was crushed under the rear wheel. He died shortly after and his body was taken to Savannah that night.
