The Vernon City Commission granted a natural gas franchise to R T Craig Mark Kleeden and associates of Wichita Falls. Work must begin by December 1 with two miles laid within thirty days and full completion within six months. Gas to residents is set at 75 cents per 1000 cu ft with discounts for timely payment, industrial gas at 40 cents and city uses at 20 cents. The minimum $1.50 monthly charge and tapping fees are specified.
