Memorial Day Floral Tribute For Vernon Veterans
Memorial Day service honoring soldiers of all wars will be held at View Cemetery. The American Legion will decorate veterans graves of Civil, Spanish-American and World War periods. Relatives and the public are invited to attend. Flowers may be sent to the Chamber of Commerce in the Library Building by Thursday evening or by 9 o clock Friday morning. A wreath is preferred but any flowers are acceptable. Male veterans will depart the Chamber of Commerce for the cemetery. Frank Hood and others are coordinating.

He tested soil samples, found earth full of tiny insects, and proposed a poison formula using wheat bran, white arsenic, citrus, molasses, and water to prepare a mixture for distribution.
