Rhoads Funeral Held After Brother’s Death at Anives
Rhoads returned yesterday from Anives where he attended the funeral of his brother Mr. Rhoads who died Saturday after months of illness. Funeral services were Sunday afternoon and interment was in Aubrey cemetery. Church No. 1 gas well yields near twelve million daily
The Church No. 1, eight miles south of Vernon, is producing nearly 12 million cubic feet of gas per day with 500 psi rock pressure, after cementing off the initial strike and a failed attempt to drill through the cement. The well becomes the region’s heaviest gas producer and may fuel local demand, while plans await a conference of project stakeholders.
