Miss Alice Martin was the only graduate as the West Vernon school closed on Friday after graduation exercises held Thursday and Friday nights. Professor J B Leverett, principal, praised patron cooperation and student effort. Leverett will join the Puize Maxwell Auto sales force in the Vernon district and move to Vernon. Klingler Sells 50 Durocs For 21 50 A Head In Vernon
Vernon man H A Klingler sold to a French pork buyer in Denison fifty Duroc gilts at 21 50 per head. The hogs weighed about 220 pounds and were fattened for market. Klingler shipped remaining hogs to Fort Worth earlier, receiving top price 2045 there. He owns about 300 young hogs and 200 acres alfalfa, arguing his land investment now valued at 150 an acre yields profit.
