State Pays More Than Individuals in County School
County districts of Witbarger show the state funds cover most salaries while local taxpayers contribute less. Report notes teachers’ salaries averaged about 100 dollars per month for seven months, with 212 daily attendees and per capita state support totaling around 2,7545. State aid to schools exceeds local costs, and teaching forces will grow for next term with gradual improvements across districts.
