Stockmen invited to view Spur feeding tests near Dickens county

Stockmen from across the region, including Wilbarger County, are invited to attend the final day of the annual feeding tests at the Spur Government Experiment Station, Dickens County. J. M. Jones of the Texas Experiment Station notes steer tests compare Brahma crossbreds with Herefords while lamb tests mix cottonseed meal and hulls with corn and sorgum. The event, hosted by Spur sub-station superintendent RK. E B. Dickson, aims to provide practical data for marketing West Texas feed crops via livestock routes. The Fort Worth packing firm will send experts for animal valuations, and the event follows prior gatherings under favorable conditions with high farmer and stockman turnout.
