Work starts on new engine house at pumping plant
This week marks the completion of foundations for the city's new 100 and 200 horsepower engines and the start of a brick and concrete engine house at the West Vernon pumping plant. The 38 by 42 foot building will cost 3299 before engine foundations and is expected to receive engines in March to boost waterworks power and street lighting.
