Trades for Castro Land Exchange Near Castro County
W M Thompson trades three sections of Castro community land at about 2 per acre. Bourland acquires 880 acres north of the river known as the Moore place for one section. The other two sections come from Davie Thompson. The trade includes 211 acres in the Dath Cox survey near Talmage. Bourland and Thompson toured Castro and Deaf Smith counties to close the deal. Both report good crops across the plains. Davie Thompson lives on the land about five miles from Davitt and twelve miles south of Hereford. Thompson plans to move them to Wilbarger county.

Sheriff W A Ish and C J Farrell with Farrells son Teddy returned Wednesday from Sapulpa Oklahoma with Mr Farrells Buick touring car stolen here August 8 three men were arrested in Sapulpa. The car was reported in good condition except for a shot rear left fender. The extra tire was missing and it is believed an officer fired a shot to stop the thieves. The top was found weeks ago in Childress county and shipped back to Vernon. it had been removed by the thieves before reaching Oklahoma.
