Thirty rural schools in Wilbarger County apply for state aid this year with twenty three having received aid last year. County Superintendent J N Fulcher notes rising expectations for the coming session as districts vote 40 cent tax and plan improvements. Trustees are urged to file aid applications before the 20th of the month to allow processing in Austin.

Alva Swinburn reports his newly purchased Buick roadster stolen in Wichita Falls was found in Hobart Oklahoma on Tuesday. A man driving the vehicle was arrested by Hobart officers. The car had been missing seven weeks and was in good condition on recovery. Insurance noted.

M Holden aged 60 from Goteho Okin died early yesterday at his sister Mrs Josie Jordan home after four months of ill health. He was in Vernon only two days returning from the Plains for health reasons. He is survived by six children and several brothers and sisters. Two children Stella Bussy and Jim Holden live at Parkburnett. Another son Hetchel Holden lives at Mr Vernon. He had lived with his daughter at Mountain View Oklahoma. The remains will be shipped there for burial.
