Two White Men Caught at Still Near Beaver Creek
Sheriff Frank Edmondson and Deputy Clyde Watts raided a concealed still near Reed Crossing on Beaver Creek on Sunday. Two white men, Danvegand and John Simmons, were arrested with a 40 gallon still, two barrels of mash, a revolver, and awash liquor recovered. They are jailed in county custody awaiting bail. Sheriff Frank Edmondson’s team raided the Kite place 35 miles south of Vernon and seized a large whiskey still, 5,000 gallons of mush, seven gallons of corn liquor, firearms, camping gear, and two men, John and Willi Dunnegan, jailed.
