Saturday evening hailstorm in Ashley Valley caused major damage to corn and silage leaves. In Dry Fork some grain harvests were nearly wiped out while Diamond and other mountain areas saw heavy rain with no damage. Fire department adds new breathing gear for smoke rooms
The Ver nal fire department received two full breathing apparatus outfits this week. Assistant fire chief C R Jeffries said the department needed the equipment for some time and firemen were instructed on its use at a city office meeting Tuesday night. Each outfit includes a mask lungs cannister and tubing.

Echo Park Dam Project Proposed on Green and Yampa Rivers
A proposed Echo Park dam site in Colorado would be on the Green and Yampa rivers near the Utah border. It envisions a 500 kilometer long reservoir providing 4710,000 acre feet active capacity and a power plant of 320,000 kilowatts producing 688 million kilowatt hours annually.
