Funeral services for Don LeRoy Murdock son of Lynne and Mina Showalter Murdock were held Saturday at 2 pm in the Second Ward Chapel under Bishop Owen Bslaugh. Mrs Mar Jorgensen and Mrs Lucille Calder sang with accompaniment by Mrs. Arthur Manwaring. The Relief Society Singing Mothers sang Peace To Leave You, directed by Mrs. Manwaring. State Cautions Motorists On Excessive Speeds And Wasting Tires
State and city officials warn motorists to slow down as wartime tires are limited. School Board Accepts Noble Resignation From District

Don Hill Ranch Home Burns Saturday Night
Fire destroyed the Don Hill ranch home at Bitter Creek with clothing and furniture a total loss. Discovered at 11 39 p m the blaze erupted after an explosion that awakened the household and may have worsened the blaze. The cause is unknown and insurance was not present. The ranch lies about 100 miles southeast of Vernal. A separate note mentions Mrs Ren Tall receiving glass floats from her son Boyd L in the Aleutian area where he serves in the navy, with two and a half years in China and six years in service.
