Notice lists stockholders with delinquent assessments of one dollar per share due by August 1, 1937. Names include Margaret Anderson, David W. Barney, John Ellsworth, and others, with addresses in Utah and California. The Board directs sale of sufficient shares at public auction September 1, 1937, 2:00 p.m., at the Secretary’s office in Ouray Park Irrigation Company to cover delinquencies and sale costs.
Supt Ose returns from a four day trip to Medicine Bow National Forest while Vernal CCC team stays active. Vernal CC s defeat Footevelt ball team 19 to 25 for a $25 purse at the Labor Day Roosevelt Rodeo. A lookout camp to be built in McKee Draw with five men under Foreman Preston Hole to aid pole cutting and construction in winter months. Redio Committee Dinner honors including J R Douglass and family, Alvin Weeks, DeVere Carfol, J Anderson guests of Company 1507.
Community church services set for eleven in the morning with a sermon titled My Concluding Sermon. Mr and Mrs Pete Bergman of Colby arrived this week to attend the Vernal Rodeo and explore the valley. Bergman, a subscriber, praised the Express and urged continued publication.
Notice to creditors to present claims by October 23 1937 to E R Lawrence Cooper attorney Vernal Utah. Executor Erschel Fe Shepherd requests claims with vouchers. Sheriff J Emery Johnson announces sale of real estate September 25 1937 at 3 09 PM at Vernal Court House Uintah County to satisfy a judgment in favor of Home Owners Loan Corporation against Lucinda E Dean and N J Meagher. Real property described as part of Lot 4 Block 4 Plat A Vernal Utah with 15x165 feet right of way and appurtenances. Last publication September 23 1937.
In the Fourth Judicial District Uintah County Utah a sheriff sale is ordered on October 2 at 2 00 p m at the front door of the Uintah County courthouse Vernal Utah. The property includes a described parcel in section 36 township 1 north range 1 east plus water rights and rights of way in White Rocks Creek. Sheriff J Emery Johnson cites the notice dated September 7 1937 with first publication September 9 and last publication September 30.
