Superintendent Noble announced Uintah county enrollments at 2628 pupils, down 173 from last year’s first day. Uinta High School reported 425 seniors and 200 juniors, 49 fewer than the prior year. Alta High School had 187 total, eight less. Central School had 480 pupils, with first grade at 64 and a shift to full time first grade sessions. County wide, 2053 school age children marked a drop of 67 from the previous year across all schools and towns listed, including Willow Creek 18, Rainbow 8, Dragon 23, Avalon 48, Fort Duchesne 161, and Maeser 218.
