BPW Club Convention Highlighted By Vernal and Roosevelt
The Vernal and Roosevelt Business and Professional Women's clubs marked National BPW Week with a Spartan radio broadcast. Isabelle Angus reviewed the week's purpose and meeting, followed by talks from Dr. H. D. Fowler and L. C. Beck on rheumatic fever. A district convention in Norsevelt featured Ben Patterson as main speaker with Suzanne Mae Grua and Bertha B. Marnes among guests. Massey presided as district chair, noting two clubs participated. Statistics cited show most trifling accidents come from human carelessness and that war casualties are not inevitable.
