Vernal Hunt Club Car Crash Severs Three Injuries

Three Vernal deer hunters were badly hurt when their car swerved on a curve near Manila and plunged 15 feet into a wash. Bralde Morgan, 61, remained in serious condition at Uintah County Hospital. Owen Powell and another occupant suffered multiple fractures and contusions. Morgan’s son traveled from Philadelphia to be with him. relatives said the crash occurred after the vehicle failed to see a bridge on the curve.

Youths Steal Delivery Truck in Ogden Chase

A delivery truck belonging to Ashton Fros was stolen Sunday morning by three Ogden youths. They fled across Greens Lake area, then abandoned in Sheep Canyon after a two to three mile pursuit. The juveniles hitchhiked to Manila where they were held by Mr. Wilson until Mr. Hatch arrived and were turned over to Uintah County sheriff for juvenile court proceedings.

US inner wounded in leg after rifle bullet struck

Beth Smith, 25, of 107 washon street Salt Lake City was wounded in the leg by a rifle bullet. She underwent minor surgery at Ainish County hospital and was released to go home.
