Quiet Good Night Farewell Poem Passage
A reflective verse mourns parting as night falls and memory wounds the heart. Lines speak of dawns, silence, and a voyage homeward while destiny governs the fragile voyage and farewell wishes drift with the tears of departure.
Linking movie and radio advances in wireless motion pictures
British scientists report partial success in transferring motion pictures by radio. Earlier tests sent a photograph from Politiken in Copenhagen to England, then to a ship in mid Atlantic, suggesting a future where viewers see distant events on their receiving set. TIPS TO THE RADIOIST
A crystal detector cannot be satisfactorily amplified. Insulate ends of aerial wires with several small insulators. Run serial wires at right angles to electric Mecit wires where possible. Use a lead wire the size of the combined number of aerial wires. Gas piping makes a poor ground but cold water pipe ground is excellent. A crystal detector is never as efficient as a vacuum tube detector regardless of instruments. Within three to five miles from a broadcasting station indoor one wire aerial about 40 feet long stretched room to room is generally satisfactory with crystal detectors.
