About 30 entries have been received for the final off tournament of the season to be held Saturday through Monday. The registration deadline is Thursday at 6 p.m. The 18 hole event allows any two of the three days with two person teams and prizes for winners and runners up.

Vernal's newest service station at 961 West on Highway 40 will open Monday. Galaxy Service Station, built by Uinta Oil Refining Co. of Salt Lake City, plans a grand opening later this month. Chamber officials also advocate cutting the city mill levy seven mills and reducing business license costs by 50 percent. transient salesman licenses would rise to 50 dollars for six months. A seminar on business management was proposed, and road access issues to Dateh John were discussed as Vernal-Manila highway improvements were urged.
