Forest Service land debate threads Utah grazing limits
Government officials discuss reducing grazing allotments on Utah's public lands to protect watershed soil cover. Gov Clyde urges a go slow approach to avoid harming the livestock industry while the Forest Service cites overgrazing as a risk to soil and water. Local leaders, ranchers, and irrigation officials weigh potential impacts on wildlife recreation and watershed management.
