Public Utilities Seeks Truck Restraint in Vernal Route Dispute
Attorney general advised consent to a temporary restraining order keeping Roosevelt and Uintah basin truck lines out of Vernal until December 6. Leland Hair and William Wardle face court action with Johnston and Alexander opposing the Roosevelt operation without a certificate of necessity or tax filings. Merchants of Vernal resist state-commission control, favoring local delivery and avoiding Roosevelt trucking into Vernal. Sterling and Eastern Utah firms hold competing franchises.
