Juveniles Held Over Gusher Trading Post Robbery
Two juveniles are in Utah County Youth Home after the Nov 16 robbery of Gusher Trading Post owned by Calvin and Eunice LeBeau. They entered with ski masks and a pistol and knife, tied the owner, and stole about 160 dollars before fleeing. Deputies tracked them via a lead from the Indian Pp and arrested them near Roosevelt City. They remain in detention awaiting trial.

Vernal officers arrested twenty year old Derek E Hall on November 27 after a burglary at Central School. He was held on 4000 bail. Iott was later detained on suspicion of burglary at the same school. Investigators recovered property from the school Stringham office and McCray office including medical instruments vaccines a tape recorder and a typewriter. Hall faces multiple felony charges.

Seven Juveniles Arrested in Tabernacle Vandalism Case
Seven thirteen year old youths were referred to Juvenile Court after vandalizing the Uintah Stake Tabernacle on 6th West November 16. Vernal officers recovered about $1,000 in damages including broken appliances and spray of a fire extinguisher. The group allegedly rode bicycles inside the building and attempted to abduct two children but the pair escaped.

Yellow Front Store to Open Friday Morning
The Yellow Front Store at 1100 West Highway 40 will open Friday morning with a plan to offer service and value to Basin residents. Manager Mud Kohler, a 26 year old from Heber City, leads the new store, the first built by Dwayne Johnson who leases the 12 acre site from William At Slaugh. The Valley Distributing Company operates Yellow Front and Checker Auto parts with over 2 stores in 13 western states. The store will include Checker Auto Parts, shoes, clothing, hardware, camping, sporting goods and housewares and hire about 20 workers for seven day service.
