Altonah District Ranger Richard B. Leicht reports cat hunters damaged a D-8 Caterpillar used on the Dry Gulch reseeding project in Ashley National Forest. Three shots hit the cat, damaging air filter, headlight and fuel rail. a hole was shot in a rubber tire of the Freemont Drill piso. About 100 dollars in repairs and lost project time resulted.
