Ashley Valley Pioneer S J Campbell Sr Dies at Vernal Home
Samuel Joseph Campbell Sr. of Hancock Cove and early Ashley valley pioneer died at his son S J Campbell Jr s home in Vernal after a period of illness from general weakness due to old age. He was born February 10 1859 in Salt Lake City and moved through Millville to Ashley valley living near Roosevelt Utah before settling in Vernal. He survived by several children and a widow, with funeral services held at the Vernal First Ward chapel.
