The Vernal Junior Chamber of Commerce sponsors a memorial service at the Dinosaur National Monument Saturday at 4 30 pm. Clyde Johnson Rev Whllard Spence and Aird G Meikley lead arrangements to honor the late Dr Earl Douglas and his father and sister buried near the old Douglas homestead south of the monument. A caravan from Vernal departs 2 30 pm from the courthouse grounds, with private conveyances from nearby communities joining. Attorney Wallace Calder and Rev Spence will speak, and a local musician will provide music amid the heat avoidance plan near sandstone cliffs.
