Miriam Young daughter of District Attorney and Mrs Dallas Young won the UHS student body race for the 1928-37 term on Friday. Twelve delegates were chosen at the Democratic primary held at the courthouse on Saturday to attend the Democratic State Convention in Ogden next Saturday. Few Drivers Comply With Testing Law
Two thirds of the inspection period have passed and only about a quarter of the state’s vehicles have been inspected. RW Grove, superintendent of the state highway patrol, reported 23 055 vehicles with inspection tags through Tuesday and estimated 100 000 resident owned vehicles exist. Idaho Youth Sentenced on Wednesday
District Judge George Christen of Pike sentenced Titeman B Forbes 28 of North York Idaho to an indeterminate term at the state penitentiary from one to ten years for larceny of a horn and saddle belonging to Nile Ainge of Jensen. Forbes last week stole a torch coupe parked in front of a hotel in Ogden and, after a chase, the saddle and hose were recovered.
