Memorial Rites Held for George Hislop in Maeser Chapel
Funeral services conducted Monday at 2:00 pm in the Maeser chapel for George Hislop who died Friday at his daughter’s home. W E Bealy led the service with a double trio and solos. interment followed in Vernal cemetery with burial by Thomas Bingham. The obituary notes his pioneer life and esteem among neighbors.

Utah water commission backs diversions for irrigated lands
Utah water storage commission meeting at the state capital urged surveys on Green river Bear river and other proposed diversions to supply supplemental water for lands exceeding 150000 acres in Utah Wyoming and Idaho. Large crowds attended all sessions of the Uintah stake conference despite threatening weather. Elder Charles A Callis of the Twelve and Mrs Callis spoke at sessions from Merkley grove to the Ashley ward chapel with dedicatorial services Sunday evening. The ten o clock session featured the stake Sunday School board led by Walter Woolley and included singing and prayers. 714 persons attended.

K Ranch Owner Injured by Fall on Frontier Ranch

Richard Jensen to Teach Leathercraft to Scouts
Scout commissioner Richard "Dicky" Jensen will teach leathercraft to older Scouts and leaders at the Timpanogos council meeting in Cove Igke Kanab district on June 15 and again during July at Uintah Duchesne Roosevelt district camps.
