Fishing opener was good despite rain and snow
The season’s opening week showed mixed results with rain and snow slowing fishing. Officer Udell Gardiner notes good catches at Crease Reservoir and Jones Hele with browns and rainbows up to two pounds. Steinaker produced some nice bass limits but overall slow. Calder and Diamond Mountain waters are not open. Steinaker rehab plans include poison treatment and rainbow stocking. a new reservoir, Brough, opened slowly. weekly reports available from Vernal office.
