Miss Ila Zufelt Dies After Brief Illness
Naples community mourns the sudden death of Ila Zufelt born July 14, 1908 in New Mexico. She lived in Naples and Davis ward, was active in school and church activities, and is survived by parents Frank and Mrs Zufelt and eight siblings. Autopsy blamed a paralyzed appendix. funeral held May 11 at Naples ward house with reflections by Bishop Iverson and President Calder. Burial in Vernal cemetery.

Cattle Suffer Drought in Dixie Forest Pasture
W. M. Macs reports to the district forestry office in Ogden that cattle in Beaver Dam Wash in the Dixie forest are in deplorable condition due to a long dry period. Of about 1,000 cattle observed on a recent trip only a few were in average condition, 84 cattle were found dead in an hour. The cattle largely belong to Pine valley and Bull valley permittees and graze on forest lands in summer.
