Commissioners Work Through Budget and Tax Adjustments
County officials debated valuations and tax debts at a Saturday board meeting. They decided to assess prior year values to 1923 for Hazel King’s estate and to cover an appendectomy operation for an orphaned child. They rejected Grand County’s transient livestock tax claim as unjust due to range lines crossing county borders. They approved reduced taxes for Uintah Packing and Uintah Canning Plant and set 1920 1921 1922 1923 figures, while seeking state auditor guidance on two land parcels.

County Divides Into Three Road Districts
The county is split into three road districts to improve fund administration and equitable distribution. W. L. Fletcher leads the Maeger Dry Fork and Randlett districts. Fred Feltch governs the eastern district and Roy Taylor the western. Land funds are divided, warrants issued, and charged to each district. The plan appears to work well.
