Mail Delivery Planned for Vernal Home Addresses
Vernal city officials seek to start mail delivery by assigning street numbers to homes. City manager LeRoy Taylor says numbering and mailbox installation must be completed by June 1, with signs posted on corners or new posts. April Fools Dance Set for Saturday at Imperial Hall

Roosevelt Pair Survive Plane Crash In Utah Hills
Pilot Joseph E. Olpin aged 24 and passenger Mrs. Jerry Mills 22 escaped a rough terrain crash two miles west of the Grisonite mine. They hiked overnight to Pleasant Valley then Roosevelt where they were cared for after a weekend in a gulch. About 16 planes from Vernal Price Duchesne and Roosevelt joined the search.

The lease from Ashley Cooperative enables parking, an alley closure to ease traffic, and gravel work pending weather. Plans include a playground, full automotive services, gasoline sales, and a restaurant run by Mrs. Young, with the nearby rock house preserved, possibly as office space. Memorial services scheduled in Vernal honor three war heroes, T-4 Thomas Barnett Bingham of Coulee Dam and two other fallen servicemen. Bingham, killed in Japan October 13, 1945, is survived by a widow Olga Pulos Bingham Walker and two daughters, with services set Friday at 2 p.m. in the Vernal Second Ward chapel.
