Vernal Manila Road Meet Planned To Map Uinta Route

Funeral Rites for A B Kidd Held Saturday
Funeral services for Alexander Buchman Kidd were conducted at the Swain Fowers Home with Bishop Alma Preece of Ashley ward officiating. A quartet sang several hymns and speakers included William H K Siddoway and George O Massey. Kidd, born March 30 1855 in Ferren Utah, married Sarah Elizabeth Wright May 6 1880 and moved to Ashley Valley. he died Thursday night in Vernal. He leaves four sons, three daughters, forty six grandchildren and forty four great grandchildren.

Snow Survey Finds Less Moisture in King's Cabin Watershed
March 16 17 and 18 saw the annual snow survey for the Vernal district of the Ashley National Forest. Ranger Olen A Lambert Administrative Assistant J Wayland Mattsson and Frances Feltch led the measurements at 37 stations 109 feet apart. Ski travel from the forest boundary to the King’s Cabin area found lighter snowfall than expected and lower water content and snow depth than since 1924. Data from 1994 to present list year depth figures for Upper and Lower King’s Cabin with varying values. additional measurements on Uintah River and Lake Fork watersheds by Ranger Georges W Walkup and Ranger Clyde Lambert will be released soon.
