Additional Pumps to Boost Salt Lake Pipe Line Capacity
Salt Lake Pipe Line Co on Saturday announced increased capacity for its 10 inch crude line from Rangely Field Colorado to Salt Lake City. New pumps and engines with an approximate $300000 cost will raise capacity from 36000 to 40000 barrels daily by August. The system, operational since 1948, serves Salt Lake refineries and carries Gilsonite from Bonanza Utah.

Natural gas reserves show rise in Utah shale fields
The American Gas Association reports Utah added about 8.16 billion cu ft of reserves from Red Wash and Clear Creek, with total state reserves rising to 73.72 billion cu ft in geologic formations not tied to oil. Increases reflect field developments at Roosevelt Pool and other basins, though no new major wells or pipe construction are yet warranted.
