Dinosaur Improvement Fund Reaches 615899

Final Construction Plans For Vernal Natural Gas Pipeline

Utah Gas Service plans final construction of a vern al gas lateral line into Vernal and the city distribution system. Construction is expected in six to eight weeks and should finish by July 1 to begin service. Surveying and pipe handling for Vernal should wrap up this week while sections are tested for leaks. The company offers free gas service installation behind homes with a right of way grant, aiming to save households about 75 dollars. Visiting former resident Eva Ashby and daughters Norma and Erlene are in Cedar City with Floyd Dingham while they tour Oregon.

Above Average Snow Water Content Reported at Paradise Park

Soil Conservation officials report Tuesday that snow courses at Paradise Park 10,500 feet show 53.7 inches depth with 159 inches water content, higher than last year. Lower Mosby Mountain at 9,500 feet has 45.8 inches depth and 11.5 inches water. Kings Cabin at 6,000 feet records 43.6 inches depth and 11.7 inches water. The survey, by Jack Stephenson, John L. Swenson, and Larry Jensen, notes generally wet ground under the snow across the county's western area including Lopoint, Tridell, Gusher, Leota and Avalon.

Uintah State Bank Joins First Security Bank System

Uintah State Bank, the Uintah Basin’s largest bank, will operate as Uintah State Branch of the First Security Bank of Utah after stockholder approval. Speed Limit Cut For Trucks On Highway U S 40

The state imposes a new 35 mph truck speed limit on three major highways due to frost and weather.
