Funeral Slated Friday For Naples Fire Victim
Funeral services for Mrs Jo Anne Hall Fulks 24 will be held Saturday at 2 p m in Vernal First Ward chapel under the bishopric. She died Monday in a Detroit hospital after complications from delivering twins Linda and Brevida. Mrs Fulks born October 23 1934 in Vernal was married to James K Fulks Jr in August 1953. Services will be conducted in Detroit prior to Vernal rites. Burial in Vernal City Cemetery. Survivors include husband mother two sisters a twin and four brothers. Also notes another funeral for Orval Astley Goodrich 40 burned to death in Naples ward chapel Friday at 10 a m under bishopric. Burial in Vernal Memorial Park. Damage estimated around 6000. The regular quarterly Uintah Stake conference is set for March 3 and 4 with sessions at the stake center on Saturday and at the Tabernacle on Sunday. Welfare officers meet at 4 30 p m and priesthood leadership gathers at 8 p m Saturday, with an MIA program at 7 30 p m.

George F Roth of Fashion Cleaners Vernal was chosen president of the Utah State Cleaners Association at its eighth annual Salt Lake convention. Blueprints Seen On County Shop Bidders Invited
At the county commissioners meeting Duff Swain showed blueprints for a proposed new county shop at the fairgrounds and contractors were invited to bid. Nine men from Hennett asked for a road from Hennett church to the highway by Todd dugway or south from Jen's ranch. Two commissioners would consult the school board and engineer before replying. O L Johnson and C R Henderson applied for Basin Television Company licenses, which the commissioners expected to grant when due. Penny Murray and Martin Pletcher asked the county to participate in buying portable scales to check registered buds on feed and livestock under the 411 program, with others in the feeding efforts. a decision on funding was deferred.
