Men's slowpitch league reaches third week with tight standings
In the third week of the Men's Slowpitch Softball League games on June 21, The Outsiders beat Sunset 11 to 7 and Young's Paint topped Morrell Construction 11 to 9. Taco Time edged Sunset 2 to 1 and Dave Jolley defeated Morrell Construction B 2 to 0. The Outsiders narrowly beat Dave Jolley 9 to 8. Basin Ballers crushed 7 11 Cafe 24 to 1. After three weeks Basin Ballers lead 40 points, Sunset and the Outsiders are 3-2, TM Cafe, Taco Time and Young's Paint at 2-2, Dave Jolley 2-3, Morrell Construction 0-5.

Uintah Grad Enyeart Finishes Second in Cologne Meet
Uintah High School graduate Mark Enyeart placed second in the 200 meters at a June 22 international track meet in Cologne West Germany. Mike Bolt of Kenya won the 800 meters in 1 44.35 while Enyeart clocked a personal best 1 44.84. Houston McTear of the United States won the 100 meters in 10.13 with several American sprinters following in the results.

Jensen Rodeo Set For Monday At Uintah Grounds
The Jensen Ward Rodeo will occur Monday at the Uintah County Fairgrounds starting at 7:30 p.m. Six main events include bareback bronc, bull riding, team roping, calf roping, saddle bronc, and ladies barrel racing. A steer riding event for youth 14 and under is also planned.
