Equity to Decide Test Drilling at Ashley Valley Structure

Most Rev Leo J Steck auxiliary bishop of the Salt Lake diocese led Sunday cornerstone ceremonies for a new Catholic church under construction in Salt Lake City. The brick building started July 2 with an estimated cost of 40000 dollars and is planned to be completed in November. It will be named St James church replacing St Johns and sits on the northeast corner of 1st.

Utahn Killed in B 29 Crash Off South Arabia
Cpl. Bert J. Bohn of Vernal was killed when a B 29 crashed into the sea off the southern tip of Arabia during a world flight test. His body has not been recovered. Bohn was married to Sybil Merkley and had two young sons. The crew left Tucson six days ago and were due back August 5.
