Five thousand former Uintah LDS stake residents and relatives plan to attend a July homecoming week with David O. McKay to dedicate Naples Glines and Uintah ward chapels. Heber Bennion Jr will stand in for Gov. Lee at the Uintah County hospital dedication as events unfold from July 22 to 25 with tours, parades, dances, and a pioneer luncheon.

Children to Form Miniature Parade for Homecoming
County children will march in a miniature parade during Monday Homecoming events on July 25. They should wear dance costumes and meet at the courthouse lawn at 9 a.m. The procession goes to the tabernacle grounds for a dance festival afterward. Vernal Native Clifton Laris Dies in Mosby Canyon Crash
Clifton Laris 33 a Vernal native died Sunday when brakes failed on his lumber truck near Tridell causing an overturn. Harold Gardner of Roosevelt suffered injuries. Laris leaves a widow a son Sheila Laris a daughter and siblings. Funeral set Thursday in Roosevelt LDS stake house.
